It’s the last weekend of the month so that means it’s an Anything Goes (but still no digis please!) theme at Amusing Challenge!   Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. This week your challenge is to use die cuts.  I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.  September’s prize:  a pack of assorted A Muse Studio buttons from me.

This is Karen McAlpine, of Dreaming and Creating. last official week as a Guest Designer but I hope she’ll be back…and I know you agree!

Karen used the A Muse Studio Papillon stamp set for this beautiful card…which features a recycled page from a dictionary and some amuse studio pearls.  I love how Karen chose to color and pop up just one of the butterflies.

Here’s something I seldom do (which is a shame)…decorate the inside of the card!  Karen made an equally beautiful card inside with a sentiment from the A Muse Studio set:  Sunny Side of Life and again, Papillon.  I love these two colors together – it’s so elegant and if you click on the photos, you can enjoy them in a larger size.

Cyndi is back with a super detailed and fun Halloween card.  I love her ideas and there is always so much to examine on her cards…fun, fun, fun!  Cyndi used the recently retired A  Muse Studio set, You’re a Scream and Tiny Treats.  I love the little scene she created!  Everything is handcut here and Cyndi used Glossy Accents on the eyes and jars, googly eyes and Grape and Onyx cardstock – all from amuse studio.  pst…did you notice that little rat climbing on top of the sentiment?!?  If you LOVE Halloween, be sure to sign up for my FREE “12 days of Halloween” tutorial series in the upper left sidebar.

I am back this week with a Holiday Hoopla Limited Edition stamp set from A Muse Studio. This past week I featured a Christmas card {if you missed it, it honestly is worth a peek!} with it but here’s a fun variation by just changing up the colors some.  I love how versatile this stamp set is!  I used cranberry, cocoa, buttercup, toffee, and pumpkin amuse studio inks for the tree and falling leaves.  The cardstock I chose was A Muse Studio’s vanilla, pumpkin and toffee cardstock and the toffee twine and orange ribbon are also from amuse studio.  My little tag was handcut and I used a sentiment from the new A Muse Studio set:  Fall in the Forest.

This is the entire  Holiday Hoopla Limited Edition set in case you were curious and it is available through the end of October.  It has some great deer and I especially like the sentiments.  PS.  I’ve also updated my sidebars to include two other upcoming October specials:  World Cardmaking Day and Stamp out Breast Cancer…or you can find all the details under the Promotions tab.  :)
